Programmatic Advertising

A brand awareness tool. Not a lead generation tool.

We'll be upfront about something most agencies won't say: programmatic advertising is rarely the right choice if your primary goal is leads. If you need the phone to ring next month, Google Ads or Meta Ads will get you there faster and more predictably.

Programmatic works differently — and understanding what it actually does well is the only way to use it effectively. This page is meant to give you an honest picture of what that is.
What programmatic actually is

Broad reach. Low cost-per-impression. Brand first.

Programmatic advertising automates the buying of ad placements across a massive network of websites, apps, and digital surfaces. Instead of negotiating directly with publishers, the platform uses data to find your audience wherever they are online and serve them your ad automatically.

The result is broad reach at a low cost per impression. The goal isn’t an immediate click or a form fill. It’s getting your name and message in front of the right people repeatedly — so that when they do need what you offer, you’re already familiar.

Familiarity is a form of trust. Programmatic builds it at scale, over time, across the open web.

IS PROGRAMMATIC THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU?

It depends on where you are.

Where programmatic fits in the sequence.

How we run programmatic ads

We’ll tell you honestly if programmatic belongs in your mix before recommending it.
You lead the client relationship, we join for strategy and reporting discussions.

Behavioral targeting, contextual placement, and geofencing setup if applicable.

Display creative, video, or both — built for the open web, not for Google’s ecosystem.

Ensuring your ads reach the right people at the right frequency — not too little, not too much.

Brand lift indicators, reach, frequency, and view-through attribution where measurable.
REPORTING UNDER YOUR BRAND

Clean, real, and ready to deliver under your name.

We provide reporting that can be delivered under your agency’s branding. Real metrics, honest context, nothing that will make you look bad when a client asks a follow-up question.

Geofencing

Target people by where they go in the real world.

One of the most useful features of programmatic is geofencing, which lets you target people who have visited a specific physical location. You can draw a virtual boundary around a building or area and serve ads to anyone whose device has been detected inside it.

For the right business, this can be a powerful way to reach a highly specific audience — one defined not by demographics or interests, but by where they actually go.

We always verify location types before building a geofencing strategy. Some locations — acute medical facilities, places of worship, addiction treatment centers — are off limits. We'll tell you upfront if a location doesn't qualify.

Let's build something real.

Tell us about your business. We’ll look at what’s working, what isn’t, and where there’s room to grow — no pressure, just clarity.

Or text us — we actually respond.

Programmatic Questions

Will programmatic ads generate leads for my business?

Rarely, and not reliably. Programmatic is a brand awareness channel. It puts your name in front of the right people repeatedly over time, but it is not designed to drive immediate action the way Google Ads or Meta Ads are. If lead generation is your primary goal, we’ll steer you toward a better tool.

Geofencing lets you target people whose mobile devices have been detected within a specific physical location. You define a boundary around a place, and anyone who enters that boundary can be served your ads as they browse the web. It’s a useful way to reach a very specific audience based on where they go in the real world.

No. Acute medical facilities like hospitals and emergency rooms, places of worship, and locations tied to sensitive personal circumstances are generally off limits. Assisted living communities, physical therapy clinics, and similar locations typically fall outside those restrictions, but we always verify before building a strategy around a specific location type.

Google Ads Display runs across Google’s own network of partner sites. Programmatic reaches a much broader set of inventory across the open web, including sites and apps outside of Google’s ecosystem. The targeting capabilities and pricing models also differ. They can complement each other, but they’re not the same thing.

Programmatic is generally cost-efficient on a cost-per-impression basis, but it requires enough budget to generate meaningful reach and frequency. We’ll give you a realistic picture of what it takes to run it effectively before recommending it.

Potentially, but only once your lead generation channels are already working. We wouldn’t recommend adding programmatic to a marketing mix that isn’t already producing results through more direct response channels like Google Ads or Meta Ads.
