The Conversation
It starts with a call. Both Emily and Andrew are on it. Not a salesperson, not an account manager — the two people who will actually be working on your business.
We want to understand what you’re trying to accomplish, what you’ve already tried, what’s working, and what isn’t. We ask a lot of questions because the quality of the strategy depends entirely on how well we understand your situation.
There's no pitch deck on this call. It's a conversation.
You'll meet the people actually doing the work, not someone who will hand you off later.
Where you are, where you want to go, what you've tried, what's worked, what hasn't.
The better we understand your business, the better the strategy. We take this seriously.
We'll tell you what we think before the call ends, not follow up with a vague proposal days later.
The Analysis
After the call we get to work. We analyze your current digital presence, your competitors, your market, and the channels where we think the biggest opportunities exist.
We look for what’s missing, what’s underperforming, and what nobody else has pointed out yet.
Every business has blind spots. Most agencies either don't look or don't tell you what they find. We do both.
The Strategy
We come back with a specific recommendation. Not a menu of options to pick from, not a vague proposal with impressive-sounding line items. A clear point of view on what we think you should do, why we think it will work, and what you can expect if we do it well.
Client problems don't stay at the office. They come up on the drive home and over dinner — because that's what happens when you actually care about the outcome.
Every strategy Emily and Andrew build is a reflection of how seriously they take the work. A & Em is a real agency with real resources and real expertise, and the founders are still the ones thinking hardest about your business.
We tell you what we think you should do, and we tell you what we'd skip for now.
The reasoning behind every recommendation — not just what, but why.
Realistic timelines, honest milestones, and what success looks like at 90 days and beyond.
Clear pricing before anything is agreed on — no surprises after you say yes.
Structure, targeting, copy, creatives, and bid strategy
Pages written, optimized, built, and published
Attribution set up so every lead connects to a source
Purpose-built for each campaign, not repurposed from the main site
Implementation
Once the strategy is agreed on, we build and launch. Everything — campaigns, content, pages, tracking — is set up with the long game in mind, not just the first month.
Emily and Andrew are both involved at every step. The people who built your strategy are the same people executing it, which means nothing gets lost in translation between planning and doing.
We move quickly once the strategy is set.
Ongoing Optimization
After launch we analyze results regularly — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on what the engagement calls for — and we use what we learn to keep improving.
We look at lead quality, not just lead volume. We look at what the data is telling us, not just what looks good in a report.
Marketing doesn't end at launch. For us, launch is when the real work begins.
Strategy Sessions
At regular intervals we step back from the day-to-day and look at the bigger picture. What’s changed in your market? What’s the data telling us about where to focus next? Are the leads converting into revenue?
Most agencies send a report and call it a month. We treat these sessions as the moment where the real strategic work happens — where we decide what to do next, not just review what already happened.
We think these sessions are the most important part of the whole process.

The first step is our free marketing audit. We’ll look at where you are, find the gaps, and come back with an honest picture of what we’d do about it. No pitch, no pressure.
About the process.
Questions we hear often before people get started. If something isn’t covered here, reach out directly.
It depends on the scope but we move quickly. For advertising campaigns, we can typically get from the initial call to launch in two to three weeks. SEO and website projects take a little longer depending on the size and complexity. We’ll give you a realistic timeline during the strategy phase before anything is agreed on.
You will work with Emily and Andrew throughout the entire engagement — from the first call through strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization. That’s not a sales promise, it’s how the agency is built.
We look at your website, your current search visibility, your competitors, your ad presence if you have one, and your social profiles. We come back with an honest assessment of where you stand and what we’d prioritize. It takes real time and real thinking on our end, and you can use what we find whether you work with us or not.
That depends on your engagement and your preference. Most clients are on a bi-weekly or monthly cadence for strategy sessions. If something needs attention sooner, we don’t wait for the next scheduled call — we reach out.
We tell you before you have to ask. If a campaign isn’t performing the way it should, we flag it, explain what we think is happening, and bring a recommendation for what to change. We don’t hide underperformance in a report full of metrics that look fine.
Sometimes. Our process works for any business, but our expertise is deepest in the industries we focus on. If we think we can genuinely help you, we’ll say so. If we don’t, we’ll tell you that too and point you toward someone who’s a better fit.
